Welcome back to your go-to weekend guide for Katy, Texas! We are heading into the final weekend of July, and our community has lined up a spectacular mix of events to help you and your family celebrate the summer. From free frozen treats at the dog park and a grand jewelry store celebration to an epic Fleetwood Mac tribute concert and an outdoor movie night, there is plenty of local fun to go around


Friday, July 24, 2026: Dog Park Treats, Custom Jewels, and a Fleetwood Mac Tribute

  • Friday Yoga on the Green: Beat the heat and kickstart your weekend with a refreshing morning stretch. Head over to LaCenterra’s Central Green Park (23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd) from 8:00 AM to 10:15 AM for a free outdoor yoga session. All skill levels are welcome. Remember to bring your own yoga mat, towel, and cold water!

  • Frosty Fridays at Katy Dog Park: Bring your four-legged friends out for some cool summer fun! Katy Parks & Recreation is hosting its weekly Frosty Friday at the Katy Dog Park (5414 Franz Rd) from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Beat the heat with FREE frozen treats (while supplies last) for both humans and their pups! It is a fantastic opportunity to let your dogs play, socialize, and cool down.

  • Chamber Ribbon Cutting: Amber's Jewelers Grand Celebration: Celebrate a local business milestone! Join the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Amber's Jewelers (5510 Roberts Rd) for a special grand celebration ribbon-cutting ceremony. Stop by to view their gorgeous custom, in-house jewelry designs, meet the talented design team, and support a long-standing Katy favorite.

  • Live Music: Nightbird (Stevie Nicks & Fleetwood Mac Tribute) at Central Green Park: Get ready to experience the magic of Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac! From 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM, the highly popular tribute band Nightbird is returning to Central Green Park for a free, live, family-friendly outdoor concert. Sing along to legendary hits like "Dreams," "Landslide," and "Go Your Own Way." Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and grab some dinner to-go from a local LaCenterra restaurant for an unforgettable Friday night of classic rock!


Saturday, July 25, 2026: Morning Tai Chi, Local Markets, and Movie Night under the Stars

  • Saturday Morning Tai Chi on the Green: Wake up gently and find your physical focus with a free, low-impact Tai Chi class at Central Green Park from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM. It is a wonderful way to stretch out, improve balance, and relieve stress before starting your Saturday.

  • The Old Katy Farmers Market at The Dryer: Your favorite Saturday morning tradition is back! Stop by the historic Dryer site (5339 E 3rd St) from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Load up on fresh, locally grown summer produce, artisanal baked goods, sweet local honey, and unique handcrafted items from our amazing local small businesses.

  • Movie Night on the Green: Disney's "Lilo & Stitch": Gather the whole family and head back to Central Green Park on Saturday evening! Central Green is hosting a FREE Summer Movie Night featuring the beloved Disney classic Lilo & Stitch. Gates open early, and the movie will begin projected on the big screen at dusk (around 8:00 PM). Bring your blankets, pillows, and snacks, and remember: "Ohana means family, and family means no one gets left behind!"


Sunday, July 26, 2026: Relaxing Sunday Strolls & Shaded Parks

  • Farmers Market at LaCenterra: Wrap up your weekend with a pleasant Sunday stroll. The weekly Farmers Market at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch is open from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Browse a wonderful selection of local micro-businesses offering gourmet spices, fresh flowers, farm-to-table foods, and unique handmade crafts.

  • Unwind at No Label Brewing Co. or Mary Jo Peckham Park: Take it easy on Sunday afternoon. Enjoy a cold, refreshing craft beer in the shaded, family-and-dog-friendly outdoor yard at No Label Brewing Co. If you prefer a tranquil escape in nature, pack a picnic and head to the shaded walking paths around the lake at Mary Jo Peckham Park to feed the ducks and relax before the new week starts.
