Friday, July 3, 2026: Morning Yoga & Fulshear's Freedom Fest
- Friday Yoga on the Green: Kickstart your holiday weekend by centering your mind and body. Head to LaCenterra’s Central Green Park (23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd) from 8:00 AM to 10:15 AM for a free, peaceful morning yoga class. It is the perfect opportunity to stretch, relax, and transition into your Independence Day celebrations. Be sure to bring your yoga mat, a towel, and cold water!
- Fulshear Freedom Fest 2026 (America 250 Celebration): Kick off the holiday weekend just a short drive down the road at Fulshear High School (9302 Charger Way) from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Fulshear’s premier Independence Day celebration is extra special this year as they celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. This massive, family-friendly event features spectacular live music from School of Rock Fulshear and headliner bands, local vendors, active games, delicious food trucks, and a stunning fireworks display to cap off the night. It is completely free to attend, so bring your lawn chairs and blankets!
Saturday, July 4, 2026: Happy 4th of July!
- Katy VFW Post 9182 Fourth of July Auction, Lunch & Fundraiser: Begin your Independence Day by supporting our local veterans! VFW Post 9182 is hosting its highly anticipated annual Fourth of July celebration from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the VFW Hall (6206 George Bush Drive). The event features a delicious community lunch, a lively patriotic fundraiser auction, and great fellowship with our local heroes.
- The Old Katy Farmers Market at The Dryer: If you need to stock up on fresh ingredients, sweet treats, or direct-from-the-hive honey for your afternoon 4th of July backyard cookouts, stop by the historic Dryer site (5339 E 3rd St) from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. It is a fantastic opportunity to support local agriculturalists and artisans before the holiday evening events begin.
- Katy Freedom Celebration at Typhoon Texas (Fireworks Show!): Prepare for the ultimate 4th of July celebration! Typhoon Texas Waterpark and the City of Katy are teaming up for a full day of water-filled fun and patriotic festivities. Spend the day cooling off on thrilling water slides, floating down the lazy river, and enjoying live entertainment.
- The Fireworks Spectacular: At 9:00 PM, look skyward! The official City of Katy Freedom Celebration Fireworks Show will launch near Typhoon Texas. It is a breathtaking display choreographed to patriotic music. If you aren't inside the waterpark, you can easily view this spectacular show from nearby parking lots around Katy Mills Mall.
Sunday, July 5, 2026: Relaxing and Recovering
- Farmers Market at LaCenterra: Wind down from the busy holiday weekend with a pleasant Sunday stroll. The weekly Farmers Market at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch is open from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. It is a peaceful, dog-friendly environment to walk off your 4th of July hot dogs, buy fresh-cut flowers, and browse unique handmade crafts from local small businesses.
- Afternoon at No Label Brewing Co. or Mary Jo Peckham Park: Continue the relaxation by heading to No Label Brewing Co. to enjoy a cold local craft beer in their shaded outdoor yard.
