Our local community has pulled out all the stops to organize an unforgettable lineup of events—ranging from community-wide parades and a spectacular circus on the plaza to peaceful yoga gatherings and a festive comedy show for dads.
Friday, June 19, 2026: Morning Peace & Local Celebrations
- International Day of Yoga Celebration at Central Green Park: Start your holiday weekend by centering your mind, unwinding, and finding your inner peace. Head over to LaCenterra’s Central Green Park (23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd) from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM for the International Day of Yoga Celebration. This massive, free community yoga gathering is open to all skill levels. Remember to bring your own yoga mat, a towel, and cold water to stay hydrated.
- Chamber Ribbon Cutting: JOL Home Health & Hospice: Support local community milestones! Join the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM (located at 814 East Avenue, Suite G) to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for JOL Home Health and Hospice.
- Fuego Friday at Musa Lounge: If you are looking for a lively Friday night out, Musa Lounge (2710 N Mason Rd, Suite 145a) is hosting "Fuego Friday." Bring your friends to enjoy great music, delicious drinks, and a high-energy social atmosphere.
Saturday, June 20, 2026: Parades, Circus Acts, and Juneteenth Festivals
- The Old Katy Farmers Market at The Dryer: Fuel up for a busy Saturday morning! Stop by the historic Dryer site (5339 E 3rd St) from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM for the weekly certified Farmers Market. - The Katy Juneteenth Parade & Park Celebration: Join the Katy African American Heritage Society and the brothers of EO for the annual Katy Juneteenth Celebration at Woodsland Park (443 Danover Rd). The festivities officially kick off with a community parade starting at 11:00 AM, leading directly into the park celebration from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This beautiful event features live music, delicious local food trucks, family-friendly activities, vendors, and community fellowship to commemorate the abolition of slavery.
- Circus on the Square (Historic Town Square): Prepare to be amazed! The City of Katy is bringing the magic of the big top to the Historic Town Square (904 Avenue C) from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Circus on the Square is a completely free, circus-themed community event packed with family-friendly fun, circus performers, and activities for all ages. Grab your lawn chairs and blankets to secure a spot for an evening of awe-inspiring entertainment!
Sunday, June 21, 2026: Happy Father's Day!
- Farmers Market at LaCenterra: Treat Dad to a pleasant morning stroll on his special day. The weekly Farmers Market at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch is open from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Explore unique, local, hand-crafted gifts and gourmet treats that Dad is sure to love.
- Father's Day Comedy Show: La Batalla del Humor Zuliano: Celebrate Father’s Day with laughter! The Grand Venue Event Center (25600 Westheimer Pkwy, Katy) is hosting La Batalla del Humor Zuliano on Sunday evening. Doors open at 6:00 PM, and the highly anticipated Venezuelan comedy show starts at 7:00 PM. It is a fantastic opportunity for families to share some laughs, celebrate Dad, and enjoy a vibrant cultural performance. Please note that this is an 18+ event, and seating is first-come, first-served!
